Remember: A slash chord or slashed chord, also compound chord, is a chord whose bass note or inversion is indicated by the addition of a slash and the letter of the bass after the root note letter. It does not indicate “or”.

In this lesson we’ll learn the slash chords for open G. We’ll change the root note to each of the scale steps of the G major scale to create these chords: G/A, G/B, G/C, G/D, G/E (Em7), G/F#.
