Session Two


Today’s set of lessons are quite similar to yesterday’s lessons except for one key difference. Instead of alternate picking each note we’ll apply hammer-ons and pull-offs. Some people find this more difficult because additional finger strength is required to sound the notes that we hammer-on and pull-off to.

Play along with a metronome and pay close attention to the beat. Don’t rush or drag!

  • Beginner: Perform this exercise at about 60 beats per minute or play them as quarter notes (one beat per note) at 80 bpm
  • Intermediate: Perform the exercises as they are transcribed at 80 bpm
  • Advanced: Perform the exercises at 80 bpm using all sixteenth notes
